How much does a personal branding agency cost? For genuine done-for-you work (strategy, scripts, filming support, editing, daily publishing and funnels), the agencies transparent enough to publish pricing disclose monthly minimums in the low-to-mid four figures.
Brand of a Leader, one of the few that posts numbers, lists minimum investments between $2,000 and $5,700 per month depending on scope. Below that sits a different product wearing the same name: content subscriptions from around $199 per month that template your posts and touch nothing else.
I’m Daniel, I run a personal branding agency, and this page explains what drives the price, what you should get at each level, and how to work out whether any of it is worth it for you.

THE SHORT VERSION
- Published done-for-you minimums: $2,000 to $5,700 per month (Brand of a Leader)
- Cheap $199/mo subscriptions are a different product: templated posts, no strategy
- Sizing rule: one or two new clients should cover months of the investment
- Red flag at any price: guaranteed virality
The three price tiers, honestly described
| Tier | Typical monthly cost | What you get | What’s missing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Content subscription | Roughly $100 to $500 | Templated graphics or edits of footage you film, on a quota | Strategy, filming direction, funnels, reporting |
| Productised agency | Mid three to low four figures | A defined bundle, usually editing plus posting of what you record | You stay scriptwriter, director and funnel owner |
| Full done-for-you | Low-to-mid four figures and up (published minimums: $2,000 to $5,700) | Positioning, scripts from interviews, guided filming, daily publishing, DM funnels, booked-call reporting | Nothing; your job is a couple of hours on camera |
What actually drives the price
- Scope of the chain. Strategy only, production only, or everything from positioning to booked-call reporting. Each handover you keep is cost you save and a job you keep.
- Volume and platforms. Fifteen clips a month on one platform prices differently from daily publishing across TikTok, Reels, Shorts and LinkedIn.
- Filming support. Remote prompts versus directed sessions versus on-location shoots.
- Funnel depth. Posting stops at attention; DM automation, booking paths and monthly outcome reporting are what turn attention into revenue, and they’re real work.
- Who’s actually on your account. Senior strategists and editors cost more than a queue of anonymous freelancers, and it shows in the output within two weeks.
The maths that decides whether it’s worth it
Price your client, not the agency. A coach whose engagement is worth five figures, an advisor whose average relationship spans years, a firm whose case value runs deep: for these businesses, one or two clients sourced through the brand typically cover months of any agency on this page. That’s the honest qualifier we use on our own calls, in both directions. If one or two new clients wouldn’t cover months of the investment, you’re early; spend nothing, use the free playbooks (start with our executive personal branding guide), and come back when the offer is proven. There’s also the quieter line in the ledger: the hours you currently spend scripting, editing and posting are billed at your rate, whether you notice or not.
Before any call, you can run your own numbers: monthly views in, booked calls out, with every assumption on a visible slider.
Red flags at any price
- Guaranteed virality or follower counts. Nobody honest guarantees algorithms. Guarantees usually mean bots or recycled trend-bait that damages a professional’s credibility.
- No interview process before content. If scripts appear without anyone learning how you actually talk, you’re buying someone else’s voice with your face on it.
- Views as the only metric. A professional brand is measured in enquiries and booked calls. If the reporting can’t connect content to your calendar, it’s entertainment accounting.
- Per-video pricing for a brand. Brands compound through consistency and iteration. Chop-shop pricing optimises for clip delivery, not for what the clips are supposed to build.
Why we don’t publish a price list
Because the honest number depends on the scope questions above, and a published one-size figure would be wrong in both directions for most people who read it. What we do instead: a 30-minute call where we look at your niche, your offer and your current presence, tell you exactly what we’d post if we were you, and scope the investment honestly, including telling you if you shouldn’t hire us yet. That last part costs us sales and saves everyone’s time.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a personal branding agency cost per month?
Full done-for-you personal branding agencies that publish pricing disclose monthly minimums in the low-to-mid four figures; Brand of a Leader lists $2,000 to $5,700 per month depending on scope. Cheap content subscriptions from around $199 per month exist but cover templated posts only, with no strategy, filming or funnels.
Is a personal branding agency worth the cost?
It depends on client value. For high-ticket professionals (coaches, advisors, lawyers, founders), one or two clients sourced through the brand typically cover months of agency fees, and the founder’s own production hours usually cost more than the retainer. For unproven or low-ticket offers, the DIY route is the right answer first.
What should be included at full done-for-you pricing?
Positioning and strategy, scripts written from interviews with you, guided batch filming, platform-native editing, daily publishing, profile and DM funnels, and monthly reporting tied to enquiries and booked calls. If any of those are missing, you’re looking at a production service, not a brand agency.
Are there cheaper alternatives to hiring an agency?
Yes: do it yourself with the same playbook. Position around a niche, batch film monthly on a smartphone, edit caption-first, post daily and route attention to a booking link. The free guides on this site document the full system; the agency exists for people whose hours are worth more than the retainer.
