TikTok hook generator

The first two seconds decide the video. This generator writes those two seconds for you, from hook formulas we use on client accounts every week. Pick your niche, press the button, steal what works. Every line comes out finished, not a template with gaps in it. Also fine for Reels and Shorts, because a swipe is a swipe.

No signup, no credits, nothing you type leaves your browser. Every hook comes out as a finished line you can read to camera, with the pattern it came from underneath so you can write your own.

What a hook has to do

TikTok gives every video to a test audience and watches what they do in the first moments. Most viewers decide in about two seconds. Nothing after second three can rescue a weak start, which is why we write the hook before the script, every time.

The difference is nearly always specificity. "Tips for better sleep" is wallpaper. "Stop doing this when you can't sleep. Do this instead" names a moment the viewer was in last night. Same topic, different first two seconds, completely different watch time.

The hook buys attention. What comes after it decides whether the video travels, and what actually travels on TikTok, beyond the first line, is worth reading if the openers are landing and the videos still stall. Either way, watch whether engagement moves rather than just the views. A rising view count with flat comments and shares usually means the hook promised something the video did not pay off.

TikTok hook examples from the bank we use

These are real lines from the niche banks behind the generator, printed as they are written, so you can see the shapes rather than take my word for them. Read them out loud. The good ones sound like something a person would actually say to you.

The advice you already repeat every week

What you say in every first meeting is what a stranger will follow you for. It is already tested.

Correcting the bad advice they arrived with

Calm correction is the most reliable engagement engine on the platform. No outrage needed.

Curiosity, with something specific in it

Name the moment, the timeframe or the number. Specific beats clever every time.

Written the way people type it

Search hooks keep working for months, because TikTok search keeps feeding you the same intent.

Notice what none of them do. Not one opens with a greeting, a channel name or a promise to "talk about" a topic. Every line either names the viewer's situation or takes a position, in the first breath.

How to use the hooks

Say the hook out loud in the first two seconds and put it on screen at the same time, because most people watch on mute. Then keep the promise the hook made, quickly. A hook that overpromises trains your audience to swipe on you specifically.

The faint pattern under each hook is the reusable half. Say the finished line as it comes if it fits, and when one lands, keep the pattern and swap the specifics. That is how one working hook turns into ten videos instead of one.

One more habit worth stealing: when a hook works, do not retire it. Rewrite it five ways and run it again. After 30 videos you have real data on which patterns hold your audience; that data beats anyone's opinion, including ours.

Then finish the job in order: time the whole script once the hook is chosen so a 60 second idea does not turn into 90 seconds on camera, and read it down the lens without losing the delivery instead of trying to memorise it between takes.

Why this is not an AI hook generator

Every hook here comes out of a bank we wrote for client accounts, in niches we actually run. A model would give you something fluent and average, because average is what it is trained to produce, and the whole point of a hook is to not sound like everything else in the feed.

There is a practical side too. Nothing you type leaves your browser, there is no queue, no credits and no account, and the tool works the same at 2am as it does now. Press the button as many times as you like.

When the hooks land and nobody books

This is the part I would want to know if I were you. Hooks landing but nobody booking is a funnel problem, not a hook problem, and it shows up as rising views with a diary that looks the same as last month.

Fix the bio, the pinned videos and the ask before you write another hook. A better first line sends more people to a profile that was never built to convert them.

TikTok hook questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

What makes a good TikTok hook?

Specificity. "Your therapist notices this in the first five minutes" beats "Things therapists notice" every time, because it names who, what and when. A good hook makes one concrete promise the video then keeps. Vague hooks get swiped; specific ones buy you the next three seconds, and the video is decided in those.

What are the best hooks for TikTok?

The ones that name something specific about the viewer's situation in the first two seconds. Four shapes do most of the work: the advice you repeat to every client ("The first thing I tell every client after a car accident"), the calm correction ("Stop doing this when you can't sleep. Do this instead"), the specific curiosity line ("Your therapist notices this in the first five minutes"), and the search-shaped question typed the way people type it ("How long does therapy actually take? An honest answer"). There is no universal best hook, because a hook only works if the video behind it delivers. Pick the shape, put your own specifics in it, and let 30 videos tell you which shape your audience responds to.

How long should a TikTok hook be?

One sentence, spoken and on screen inside the first two seconds. Around 8 to 14 words. If the hook needs a comma and a subclause to work, it is two hooks and the weaker half is diluting the stronger one.

Does this hook generator use AI?

No, and that is a feature. Every hook here comes from a bank of formulas we use on client accounts, patterns that have survived contact with the algorithm rather than text a model predicts might. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, there are no credits, and it works the same at 2am as it does now.

Do these hooks work for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts?

Yes. The swipe decision works the same on all three platforms: a viewer gives you roughly two seconds and the hook either earns more or does not. We post the same hooks across TikTok, Reels and Shorts for clients and the winners are usually the winners everywhere.

Why are my TikTok hooks not working?

Usually one of three things. The hook is about you rather than the viewer ("Welcome back to my channel" is the classic). It is vague where it should be specific. Or the video does not deliver what the hook promised, which trains the algorithm that your promises are empty. Fix the hook first; it is the cheapest fix in short form.

What if my job is not in the niche list?

Pick "Another niche", type what you do, and the hooks come out written around your job. The six niches in the dropdown get their own banks because we run accounts in them, so the lines are already specific to what those clients get asked all day. Everything else runs on the formulas those banks were built from.

Can I get more than 5 hooks at a time?

Keep pressing the button; it walks the whole bank before it repeats. The full set for your niche, 25 hooks with script templates and a posting plan, is in the free PDF pack on this page.
